We reconstruct the DNA of supply chains using demand-driven principles.
In 1984, John Costanza revolutionized the manufacturing world with the introduction of Demand Flow® Technology. Costanza studied international manufacturing and engineering technologies and observed the results they produced. Based upon this research, he formalized a mathematically-based flow manufacturing technology and named his patented system Demand Flow Technology.
Costanza founded JCIT (the John Costanza Institute of Technology) in Englewood, Colorado and built a world-class training and education center. As a result, Costanza received multiple awards and recognitions, including being nominated for the Nobel Prize in Economics, being named a Hero of US Manufacturing by Fortune Magazine and winning the Odyssey of the Mind Award. Recognized today as the “Father of Flow,” his business book “The Quantum Leap in Speed to Market” continues to be an international best seller.
In 2006 JCIT merged with Pelion Systems and DemandPoint was born. Today, as part of The Graham Group, DemandPoint has over 3,500 clients in over 50 countries with more than 100,000 alumni of Demand Flow Technology education. DemandPoint is led and powered by a dedicated group of manufacturing and supply chain specialists, not generalists.
Today, DemandPoint has expanded its line of services to help organizations realize speed and flexibility across the supply chain. Most supply chains are managed with too much complexity. DemandPoint simplifies the supply chain. We help you simplify your business.
In the Factory
Starting in manufacturing we create the speed and response required to react quickly to changing demand. Some of the benefits of this include:
- Faster lead times
- Improved productivity
- Reduced Inventory
- Reduced Floor Space Requirements
- Standard Cost Reductions
- Improved Quality
- Increased Revenue per Employee
In the Supply Chain
We then connect all the fragments of the supply chain to this manufacturing response to help supply chains run faster, better and cheaper.
In essence, just like manufacturers have takt times in their factories, we create takt times for supply chains. Through interval architecture, DemandPoint creates a rhythm or tempo across the supply chain. As a benefit, companies achieve the following results:
- Improved customer service levels with Reduced inventory
- Increased revenue
- Improved free cash flow
- Rapid response ability
- Improved product lifecycle management
- Reduced total delivered cost on the supply side
- Reduced total delivered cost on the demand side
