This workshop teaches the participants problem solving tools and effective meeting management skills for both individual and group settings. The end result of this training is to develop leaders, facilitators and team members with the knowledge and skills that create dynamic, effective problem solving teams who rely on data to drive important decisions.
The skills and knowledge developed over the 3 days include:
- Enhanced Meeting Management
Understanding of the types of meetings and which one is the most effective to use in order to accomplish the objective. The section also covers the responsibilities of the host/manager, pacing cues and how to hold effective meetings using specific tools in a disciplined and methodical manner.
- Behavioral Styles
How to employ a condensed version of proven behavior profile testing to determine personality traits of the team members and how to best communicate with each person.
- Group Dynamics
How to manage and understand group dynamics and the foundational skills needed to manage the group development from initial formation to maturity.
- Team Member Roles
How defining Team roles is critical to success with emphasis on team leadership and the importance of facilitating and enabling climate of cooperation and collaboration.
- Problem Solving Tools
How to formalize brainstorming, the use of multi-voting and other data collection techniques and statistical tools such as control charts and Pareto analysis will be shared. This section also delves into the problem solving models such as the use of “Plan, Do, Check, Act “cycle made popular by Dr. W. Edwards Deming.
